A window to my world ...

Among other transitions,that life's taking me thru ,one is the kind of work i am doing. In my prev company ,I was working on SCM(Solaris Container Manager) .And here i'll be working with Routing solutions for networks.So am studying MPLS,routing algorithms and brushing up SNMP .My new company is called Vegayan systems(www.vegayan.com) and the product we are developing is targetted at ISP's and will be used for intelligent routing and will be dealing with traffic engineering ..

They say life's very fast in Mumbai.But I think it depends on whether how far your workplace is from your home.Life's become easier that way for me in Mumbai .. My workplace is just around a 7 minutes walk from home and it is within the IITB campus --so the only minor inconvenience is crossing the road and walking into the IIT campus which takes you into a difft world altogether ..You forget that u're in a monstrous city like Mumbai and believe me u can feel the change the moment u step into the campus ..you feel u're in a protected and safe world altogether ..That wasy contrary to what ppl told me life's easier in Mumbai .I spent around 2.5 hrs commuting to and fro from office and now i have that much more time to myself here ...So generic statements dont hold true ..

They say that the change is the only constant thing in life .. And its very difficult to accept change . Coming from a peaceful place like Bangalore, getting used to Mumbai is taking quite sometime .. Things I miss in Mumbai that I loved abt Bangalore --Darshini's (Shanti sagars ,*sagars) --I didnt find neat decent places to eat here --Idlis --Badlu's cold idlis at KRESIT are no match for the hot steaming idlis that SS's offer .. --Kannada movie hoardings and the silly catch lines each had :) --Nandini outlets and nandini buttermilk --Ganesh fruit juice centre --The vijaynagar market (I stayed at Vijaynagar and visited the veg market daily) --The morning soppu wallas :) --Nalpaka ..(Ppl at navrang would understand ...) --FM radio --radio mirchi --I havent got a radio here ..otherwise there is FM here also ... --BMTC buses and the namma bengalooru lingo ...
